Character Lore: Lianna Hearth-heart (~850 words, 4 minutes)
This short piece is the character backstory for a Player Character in Dungeons & Dragons. Because the character is a Folk Hero it is written like a folk tale, passed on through oral tradition and is what would be given to the rest of the party and the Game Master as an explanation of the character's disposition and general introduction.

Script Excerpt: Gravity Splinter (~600 words, 3 minutes)
This scene from a screenplay showcases dramatic dialogue and worldbuilding as our heroine first meets a ruthless hunter of superheroes. Includes short background on the screenplay so far.

RPG Excerpt: House of the Dread (~1900 words, 10 minutes)
Two scenes taken directly from the campaign instructions for a ghost-hunting RPG. There are different sections for the scene, characters, places, as well as notes for Possible Pulls (Dread's skill checks) and Choices (campaign-changing branching narrative) then a more narrative-style example of how those characters speak.

Dungeon Layout: Infestation (~600 words, 4 minutes)
An entire dungeon, complete with plot hook, challenges, and a unique monster that tunnels through the map trying to separate and ambush the party. The "Detail of Map Sections" is geared towards descriptively giving imagery and the arc of the story as players traverse the decrepit hunting castle.

My Writing in Published Games

63rd & Wallace

I was the Technical Designer for this voice-first interactive fiction, and was directly responsible for many of the responses, hints, puzzle elements, and narrative elements. You can play it on an Alexa device now or see some of the other stories produced by Wanderword.
House of the Dread

This is a single-session tabletop RPG campaign I designed and wrote, it has several mechanics added to Dread to make things easier for first-time Dread players more interesting for experienced players. You can read the complete campaign notes or just go over an exerpt of Characters and Choices.
A Place of My Own

A short interactive-fiction piece, written in Twine in under 4 hours for Global Game Jam. I wanted to make something personal to me, about moving in to a new apartment and making it feel like home on a ridicculously constrained budget. It can be played in browser in just 5 minutes.
